ACMA 2019 Pioneer Award Winner: Conrad Fingerson

Conrad Fingerson, founder of GEOTEK LLC., producer of PUPI® Crossarms, was recently recognized as a composites industry pioneer.

This award is designed to honor those who have helped pioneer the composites industry. A handful of business and technical leaders were also recognized by the American Composites Manufacturing Association (ACMA) for their scientific, application, or commercial contribution to establishing and growing the composites industry.

Ben Wiltsie, GEOTEK CEO shares, “This is a fitting and well-deserved award for Conrad. Across 5 decades, he founded two industry shaping composite companies, AFC and GEOTEK. Both companies became relevant in the advancement and commercialization of pultruded composites.” Wiltsie continues, “Conrad led the development of composites in many applications that contributed to the growing acceptance of composites as a material of choice – the most famous and successful of which was the development and introduction of the first composite crossarm under the brand PUPI®, nearly 30 years ago.”

Congratulations to Conrad on this prestigious award! We celebrate with him our strong history and the impact GEOTEK continues to have within our local community and across the fiberglass crossarm industry.
